Samnwayam NSS Camp - 2nd Day

On the second morning, we started our day with a refreshing cup of coffee. After enjoying our morning brew, we got ready to attend the morning yoga session, which was led by the experienced instructor, Dr. James. The group had their morning breakfast and then arrived at their first destination, Ananthapuri hospital. There, they attended a medical emergency session for prospective teachers, led by Dr. Shiju Stanley, MD (Accident & Emergency Medicine). As prospective teachers, the session was highly informative and beneficial for all attendees. Dr. Shiju Stanley provided a brief overview on emergency first aid and how to respond in emergency situations.  He also included a practical session, which gave the participants a clear understanding of the topics covered. Samnawayam NSS Camp - Day 1.

The Samnayam camp is a 7 Day training program conducted by Mar Theophilus Training College and NSS unit. The 7-day NSS camp typically involves a daily schedule of morning assembly, physical exercises, project work, personal hygiene, and community service activities like awareness campaigns, school visits, and cleaning drives. It was inaugurated by the famous social activist Shri. Brahmanayakam Mahadevan. The camp focuses on providing practical training and hands-on experience to students in various fields. The camp is held annually and is an important part of the college's curriculum, allowing students to apply the theoretical knowledge they have gained in the classroom. The Samnayam camp is known for its emphasis on developing leadership skills, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities among the participants.  Day ended with a musical session conducted by the young musicians from neighbouring college Mar Ivanious. It was a memorable night.

Final Day @ St.Mary's Pattom

Leaving the classroom, I was overwhelmed by the students' love and the realization of the impact we had on each other. Their requests for future visits and performances showcased the lasting impression our time together had made. As I walked away, their voices echoing in my mind, I knew that the memories of St. Mary's Pattom would forever hold a special place in my heart.
