സമന്വയം NSS Camp - 3rd Day
On the third day of our 7-day camp Samanwayam, we started our day with a 'kattan' (a traditional South Asian breakfast dish) and a yoga session under the mentorship of Dr. James T. Joseph. The 'kattan' provided a nourishing and flavorful start to the day, while the yoga practice helped us center ourselves and prepare for the activities ahead.
Following the Assembly and Breakfast, the first session organized by the Kerala government's Fire and Safety Department provided a comprehensive class on managing various emergency scenarios and implementing safety measures.
Participants received hands-on training in operating fire extinguishers, accompanied by detailed explanations of the tools and their functions. The session concluded before lunchtime, equipping attendees with essential knowledge and practical skills for handling dangerous situations effectively.
The subsequent session was scheduled for the afternoon and was led by the team 'Sajeevam,' an anti-drug campaign organized by the Malankara Social Service Society.
The session was highly engaging and included numerous activities that provided the prospective teachers with a fresh perspective. The 'Sajeevam' team gave an insightful presentation on how drugs negatively impact our society, especially among the youth. As future educators who will play a pivotal role in shaping society, the team emphasized the importance of raising awareness and taking action against the use of these harmful substances.
The engaging activities and discussions lasted until the evening, leaving a lasting impact on the attendees.
After the session, we enjoyed a dinner together before gathering at the basketball court for a recap of the day's events. The group leader for the day provided a comprehensive overview of their responsibilities and how the day unfolded. Various participants shared their perspectives, including our teacher coordinators, Bindhu Ma'am and Shiny Ma'am.
